{"id":24055,"date":"2016-03-21T09:48:43","date_gmt":"2016-03-21T09:48:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/wasac-warns-on-water-theft\/"},"modified":"2016-03-21T09:48:28","modified_gmt":"2016-03-21T09:48:28","slug":"wasac-warns-on-water-theft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wasac-warns-on-water-theft\/","title":{"rendered":"WASAC warns on water theft"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{The management of WASAC has warned households that are engaged in illegal water connections and meter by-pass to stop the habit henceforth because they interfere with the supply system and increase the non-revenue water, creating losses and stifle water services delivery. } <\/p>\n<p>This was revealed by the CEO of WASAC, James Sano in a radio talk show aired on Radio Rwanda yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have realized water theft on many occasions.  Some people tamper with the meters  making it difficult for WASAC staff to measure and bill for the  quantity of water used.
