Ntahondereye was apprehended Thursday at Bushenge hospital. He was in the process of treating Adelaide Nishimwe,4, to whom he administered a quinine injection which is believed to have killed her. <\/p>\n
Ntahondereye will be charged with involuntary homicide.<\/p>\n
According to Nyamasheke District Police Commander Superintendent Fred Ntidendereza upon Nishimwe\u2019s death, Ntahondereye immediately fled. <\/p>\n
The management of the hospital immediately informed Police and a search was mounted.<\/p>\n
However, Ntahondereye was convinced to return to work the next day by the management where Police immediately arrested him.<\/p>\n
The suspect is currently held at Ruharambuga Police Station pending investigation. <\/p>\n
It has not yet been established whether Nishimwe was killed by an overdose however, a doctor from Police Hospital Kacyiru has been dispatched to conduct a post mortem.<\/p>\n
