Gasana has challenged 110 police officers set for separate peacekeeping missions in Sudan and South Sudan to serve with commitment and dedication and ensure they deliver to the best of their expectations.}<\/p>\n<p> Seventy of the officers will be reinforcement for the current 170 Rwanda Formed Police Unit (FPU) contingent in South Sudan while others will be serving as Individual Police Officers (IPOs) under the United Nations\u2013African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID).<\/p>\n<p> They are set to be deployed early next week.<\/p>\n<p> IGP Gasana, during the pre-deployment briefing on March 10, urged them to be described by professional attitudes, serve with commitment and be result-oriented.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cRwanda has built an undoubtedly very good reputation in global peacekeeping; you must ensure this reputation is preserved. Remember anything you do is reflected on the image of you nation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p> He reminded the officers that they are going as ambassadors in their aspect, who should be defined by discipline ,dedicated  and respect for national values.<\/p>\n<p> \u201cYour country has trusted you with a duty of contributing to global peacekeeping, you should therefore ensure you come back home with pride and  good results,\u201d said the police chief.<\/p>\n<p> RNP deployed the first police peacekeepers in 2005 in Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, Rwanda has emerged as one of the major  contributors of  peacekeepers Globally.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-10881 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/predeployement.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Emmanuel K.
