{The Office of the Ombudsman has, in its responsibility, to receive and analyze either individual or cooperatives\u2019 accusations regarding performance of public employees. Currently, the Ombudsman\u2019s investigations team only issue statements for testimonies but sometimes perceive fail to produce concrete evidence and therefore cannot present a case to police and prosecution. <\/p>\n
A member of parliament Honorable Gatabazi Jean Marie Vianney has therefore requested the Ombudsman to deepen the investigations including the use of technology so that solid evidence is obtained against wrong doers. <\/p>\n
\u201cInvestigation should no longer be based on hearsays, but original conversations and other communications that may call for tapping telephone communication,\u201d he said.
\nHe further stressed the need to fully follow-up businessmen that bid to supply some services and commodities, who are said to jeopardize procurement processes. <\/p>\n
