{Rwanda National Police will on February 21, dispatch a team of 20 Individual Police Officers (IPOs) to Central African Republic to serve under the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).
\n}<\/p>\n
The officers will join 14 other IPOs deploy in the same mission.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the pre-deployment briefing at the RNP headquarters in Kacyiru, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Emmanuel K. Gasana, challenged the officers to be focused on their mandate and professionalism.<\/p>\n
\u201cUphold the Rwandan and RNP values; serve within the boundaries of your mission with maximum discipline and team work; you should ensure that your performance is outstandingly good,\u201d IGP Gasana said.<\/p>\n
He told the officers to consider the mission as a learning opportunity that could enrich RNP and the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cExploit this opportunity to conduct researches, learn from other police officers and by the time you come back, you should be in position to implement a lot of what you have learnt,\u201d said IGP Gasana.<\/p>\n
He added that; \u201cYour performance out there reflects the image of our country that\u2019s why you need to perform your duties with dignity and discipline.\u201d<\/p>\n
The IPOs will be serving along Rwandan National Police 3 Formed Police Units (FPU) peacekeepers in Central African Republic.<\/p>\n
The 20 officers bring the number of Rwanda National Police peacekeepers deployed in CAR to 454 officers including three contingents of Formed Police Units<\/p>\n
Currently, Rwanda National Police maintains over 900 peacekeepers operating in seven missions including four Police Professionals. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
