{"id":23288,"date":"2016-02-17T01:30:09","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T01:30:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwandan-launches-radio-in-america\/"},"modified":"2016-02-17T01:30:43","modified_gmt":"2016-02-17T01:30:43","slug":"rwandan-launches-radio-in-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwandan-launches-radio-in-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwandan launches Radio in America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{MC Murenzi who was popular deejay at Contact FM in Rwanda has launched a Radio in America after completing his studies in Hudson Valley Community College in New York.}<\/p>\n<p>He was popular as an emcee at big social bashes and formal functions in Rwanda between 2007 and 2011 when he went to America where he lives.<\/p>\n<p>He studied \u2018Digital Media and TV Production\u2019 at the university which opened for him doors of launching his new medium \u2018Radio Isoko\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have launched this Radio after completing my university studies. I studied courses related to journalism and technology \u2018Digital Media and TV Production\u2019 which prompted me to start my own radio,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He launched the radio as a platform that connects Rwandans in Diaspora so they know what takes place in Rwanda and counter news disseminated by foreign media misinterpreting the truth of reality in their country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince I started living in America, I realized a plethora of information gaps on Rwanda. Some radios air wrong news about Rwanda. That is why I have launched this radio so that we can disseminate the truth of what takes place in our country,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis radio will hold talks connecting the Diaspora. I have signed agreements with some radios in Rwanda to provide some aired news and air some of leading talk shows,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Murenzi\u2019s radio has been on air for a short period of time accessed on TuneIn and available to the website radioisoko.com.
