{President Paul Kagame has reacted to the recent statement released by the United States of America expressing dissatisfaction over his decision to accept Rwandans\u2019 call to continue leading the country after his first two terms in 2017, saying that nobody should be loaded with Rwandans burdens since they have committed to carry their own load.}<\/p>\n
Following the response of 1st January accepting to lead Rwandans after 2017, US has linked the decision to denying rare opportunities of building Rwanda\u2019s democratic environment.<\/p>\n
Through his twitter account, president Kagame said \u201cSo\u2026disappointing? as a people and a leader \/choices?? Uhhm\u2026it hurts!!!I promise we don\u2019t intend to disappoint \u2026especially ourselves!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAfrica\u2019s problems; poverty, disease, governance, technology\u2026etc will not easily be solved by what is behind this \u2018deep disappointment\u2026\u2019attitude!!!!\u201dHe added.<\/p>\n
He also said that \u201c\u2026There are quite many very disappointing things happening across the globe we hope to carry our own burden and not be others\u2019 burden\u2026.!!!\u201d
\nPresident Kagame in the message he conveyed to Rwandans on 1st January 2016 at midnight said that he supports shared power rather than granting the power to one person.<\/p>\n
He said \u201cI think our target is not about getting an eternal leader. It is against my will. Soon the responsibility of carrying out presidential duties will have to experience succession to the extent it will have a positive impact beyond the exemplary either for us or others.\u201d <\/p>\n
