{The festive season activities and celebrations were organized and held in an orderly, smooth and secure environment with no major incidents, Rwanda National Police has said.}<\/p>\n
Police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Celestin Twahirwa said that musical shows, family and religious celebrations as well as movement of people were \u201cconducted in accordance with the law and safely without any disturbance.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThere were few minor incidents like simple car crash, assault, drug abuse where in some cases resulted into arrests, but these crimes were not related to the festivities and did not disturb people\u2019s celebrations,\u201d ACP Twahirwa said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe thank the public for the spirit and partnership with police during these holidays, which was outstanding for the required level of security,\u201d he added<\/p>\n
\u201cEnsuring security is the responsibility of everyone while respecting the law, refraining from any wrongdoing and providing timely information on any likely security threat for immediate intervention or prevention; this kind of partnership and respect of other people\u2019s rights have played an important part in the current level of safety and security Rwanda enjoys.
