One of the students, Hemedi Ndayisaba reminded his colleagues to portray the slogan of \u201cyouth are the powerhouse of the country\u2019s development.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have seen our fellow youth, students voicing their commitment and at times reporting wrongdoers like drug dealers and thieves, it captured my thoughts of what it meant in terms of security and building a nation, and today\u2019s lecture on community policing answers all that it is the responsibility of us all to build crime-free societies,\u201d said Ndayisaba.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s no reason to cut short our predictable better future abusing drugs and involving ourselves in other things that have negative impact on our lives. We have been explained on what we are required of and the ball is now in our hands,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
While speaking to the students, IP Hamdun Twizeyimana, the District Community Liaison Officer of Kicukiro, he said that drug abuse and gender based violence are among the common crimes that are committed or directed against the youth. So, you have to take part in stopping them. <\/p>\n
He challenged them to refrain and fight such crimes by reporting those involved adding that building a secure and safer ground for development rests in the hands of every Rwandan.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
