{"id":2222,"date":"2012-04-24T03:43:52","date_gmt":"2012-04-24T03:43:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwandan-to-donate-3-500-bags-in-one-bag-per-child\/"},"modified":"2012-04-24T03:48:29","modified_gmt":"2012-04-24T03:48:29","slug":"rwandan-to-donate-3-500-bags-in-one-bag-per-child","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwandan-to-donate-3-500-bags-in-one-bag-per-child\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwandan Donates Bags in \u2018One Bag Per Child\u2019 Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{As schools open for the second term,a Rwandan living in Holland has given school bags containing various scholastic materials to over 439 pupils of Kanyanza Primary school in Muhanga district.}}<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1425 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/mugiraneza.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>Brigitte Mugiraneza ({pictured above}) founded the \u2018United Wisdom of Africa Foundation (UWAF)\u2019, that organised the &#8216;One-school Bag per Child&#8217; campaign aimed at motivating children to attend school.<\/p>\n<p>Mugiraneza told IGIHE that through the \u2018One Bag Per Child\u2019 program, UWAF  grants  binders equipped with pens, dictionaries, a mathematical set and exercise books.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis program will motivate children to attend school,\u201d She said adding that it reduces the pressure on poor parents and improves education. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe focus on concrete and achievable objectives.Initially, the programwill distribute 3,500 school bags in nine schools in the district of Muhanga.
