They have commended the progress of the country and expressed willingness to provide continued support in the country\u2019s projects.}<\/p>\n<p>Talking to RBA they said; \u201cThis is a good opportunity to see what is taking place in our country and identify where we can come in and support national development efforts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>They unveiled that they have been participating in some projects like Girinka, One Dollar Campaign, Bye Bye Nyakatsi, and Agaciro Development Fund among others and have financial investments in Rwanda as well as opening accounts within the country. They also expect to build hotels and lodges in Kigali city worth USD7 million.<\/p>\n<p>The minister of local government, Francis Kaboneka says that in addition to such good deeds of supporting economic growth in general, the majority of Rwandans in diaspora contribute to the welfare of their families.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsidering the way they participate in activities inside Rwanda, their remittances are likely to exceed some income derived from some agricultural products,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nMinister Kaboneka further said that any money they transfer to Rwanda, whether for the support of their families or building houses, immensely contributes to national development. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSome people came last week bringing in cash to pay medical insurance premium for 500 Rwandans in Nyamasheke district,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-10047 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/png\/minisitiri_w_ubutegetsi_bw_igihugu_francis_kaboneka_avuga_kon_diaspora_igira_uruhare_mu_kubaka_igihugu.png\" alt=\"The minister of local government,Francis Kaboneka\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{Rwandans living in Canada that attended the 13th national dialogue pledged to build houses worth USD 7 million as an effort to support the housing sector in the country.
