{"id":21908,"date":"2015-12-16T08:45:23","date_gmt":"2015-12-16T08:45:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/mtn-rwanda-customers-to-get-electricity-on-credit\/"},"modified":"2015-12-16T08:45:00","modified_gmt":"2015-12-16T08:45:00","slug":"mtn-rwanda-customers-to-get-electricity-on-credit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/mtn-rwanda-customers-to-get-electricity-on-credit\/","title":{"rendered":"MTN Rwanda customers to get electricity on credit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{MTN has introduced another new and convenient payment solution called MTN Rahura that will enable MTN customers to borrow electricity (Cash Power) tokens and pay later using MTN Mobile Money.}<\/p>\n<p>This new service reaffirms MTN\u2019s mission of making its customers\u2019 lives a whole lot brighter by providing both convenience as well as support during emergency situations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201dThis soft loan facility will see MTN Mobile Money customers get advance credit to buy electricity tokens and repay the debt later. The service has been introduced to facilitate subscribers that may have run out of electricity units at an inopportune time and are not in a position to buy due to lack of funds or a cash power vending point being inconveniently far, \u201csaid Gunter Engling, CEO of MTN Rwanda. <\/p>\n<p>To be able to use this service, MTN Mobile Money users will be required to dial *151# from their mobile phones, select option 2 and follow the prompts. The amount borrowed and the service charge will be recovered during the next Mobile Money account refill.<\/p>\n<p>The subscriber must have been on the MTN network for a minimum period of 3 months with an active MTN Mobile Money account.
