{Nobel Peace Prize winner and Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will arrive in Kenya on Friday for a one-week visit.}<\/p>\n

Ms Sirleaf is expected to land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in the morning.<\/p>\n

Her first stop will be at the grave of Kenya\u2019s founding father President Jomo Kenyatta to lay a wreath.<\/p>\n

She will then proceed to State House where she will inspect a guard of honour and hold bilateral talks with President Uhuru Kenyatta who arrived on Thursday from a one-day visit to Rwanda.<\/p>\n

President Kenyatta was in Rwanda for the 12th session of the North Corridor Integration Projects.<\/p>\n

During her visit to the country, Ms Sirleaf will join Kenyans in celebrating Jamhuri Day celebrations on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, she will attend the World Trade Organisation conference next week at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).<\/p>\n

On Monday, the visiting Head of State is expected to attend the first edition of the International Forum on Women in Business.<\/p>\n

The event, being held in conjunction with the 10th WTO Ministerial Conference, aims to place focus on the role of women in trade and global economy.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, she will attend the official opening of the WTO meeting, including several other official engagements before flying back to Liberia.<\/p>\n

This will be Ms Sirleaf\u2019s first State visit to Kenya since she was elected as the first female president in Africa and Liberia in 2006.<\/p>\n

She was however in Kenya in the 1980s in exile fearing political persecution after then President William Tolbert was killed in a coup.<\/p>\n

Ms Sirleaf won the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011 for \u201cfor non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women\u2019s rights to full participation in peace-building work.”<\/p>\n
