{Rwanda has signed a USD15 million deal with Kuwait Fund For Arab Economic Development (KFAED) to support the construction of Nyagatare-Rukomo road.
\nThe project will cover construction of 73 kilometers of the 124.8 kilometers Nyagatare-Rukomo road with a width of 7 meters.}<\/p>\n
The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Amb. Gatete Claver said that on completion, transport costs will have been reduced, enabling farmers have access to markets. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe road will increase mobility, provide job opportunities and ease regional trade expected to eradicate poverty,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Hesham Al-Waqayan, the Deputy Director of Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development said they will continue supporting Rwanda\u2019s transport sector and are \u201ccommitted to support the development of Rwanda as a landlocked country, through transport,\u201d <\/p>\n
The cooperation between Rwanda and KFAED started in 1975 and has played a vital role mainly in the construction of infrastructures, supporting education and health care services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
