{The outgoing representative of World Bank (WB) in Rwanda Carolyn Turk has said that Rwanda\u2019s economy stands strong, commending the eloquent outcomes of Rwanda projects supported by the World Bank.}<\/p>\n

Turk made the remarks yesterday before journalists after bidding farewell to President Paul Kagame. During her three-year tour of duty, the WB, she said, has supported different projects in Rwanda worth over USD700 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have funded USD700 million worth of projects some of which have performed excellently well with best results on the African continent. These projects delivered tangible results of which am happy to associate with,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Turk stressed the need for building capacities to match with the ongoing massive development to avoid a lopsided development, address unemployment challenges, and continue with promoting essential investments and concrete audit of government investments.
\nThe Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Ambassador Gatete Claver has commended the partnership between the WB and Rwanda during Carolyn\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Gatete has expressed hope that Carolyn\u2019s replacement will continue with her salient projects. Carolyn Turk has been assigned to coordinate WB activities in Sudan, South Sudan and Ethiopia.<\/p>\n
