{The Prime Minister, Mr Majaliwa Kassim Majaliwa, has directed all councils to ensure they fully implement directives issued by President John Magufuli, insisting that any proved negligence, corruption allegations among government officials will not be tolerated.}<\/p>\n

Briefing journalists shortly after the Premier\u2019s visit to the Ministry of Regional Administration and Local Government in Dar es Salaam, the ministry\u2019s Permanent Secretary, Mr Jumanne Sagini, said the Premier had directed the ministry to work on areas the president outlined in his 11th Parliament inaugural speech to Parliament.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Premier\u2019s visit aimed at reminding us that everyone should carry out his\/her duties efficiently,\u201d said Mr Sagini after a meeting with Mr Majaliwa at the ministry\u2019s premises.<\/p>\n

The prime minister had arrived at the ministry\u2019s premises at around 10:00 am and held a meeting with senior officials in the office that he served for the past five years before his elevation to the country\u2019s Number Three job.<\/p>\n

Mr Sagini further said that the Premier had directed the ministry to plan its budget according to priorities and challenges pointed out by President Magufuli.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlmost every burning issues touched by President Magufuli during his inaugural speech to the 11th Parliament fall in our sector. He has directed us to work closely to address the shortcomings,\u201d he told the staff.<\/p>\n

The permanent secretary explained that since village authorities were aware of the challenges facing schools in their respective areas, they should identify them for immediate solution. \u201cVillage authorities should ensure the problem of desks shortage at schools is addressed.<\/p>\n

Staff houses should also be built to improve working conditions,\u201d Mr Sagini directed. Unveiling the House in Dodoma last week, Dr Magufuli affirmed his promise to provide free education to all Tanzanian children from primary to secondary level.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd when I say free education, I indeed mean free,\u201d he vowed, saying effective next year, education will be free with no any contribution in whatever name and form.<\/p>\n

He promised to improve health service delivery through construction of dispensaries, health centres, hospitals and referral hospitals in each village, ward, district and region, respectively.<\/p>\n
