The President responded to questions from a diverse panel of African youth from Cameroon, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, and South Africa.<\/p>\n

Khaled<\/span> Mikkawi<\/span>, the CEO MTN<\/span> Rwanda described the initiative as a great way to reach out, inspire and connect with the youth across the continent.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are extremely honoured<\/span> to have President Paul Kagame<\/span> involved in MTV Base Meets…with<\/span> MTN<\/span>,\u201d Mikkawi<\/span> pointed out.<\/p>\n

Interview recordings of the MTV base meets\u2026With MTN<\/span> with the President Kagame<\/span> will be aired across Africa from 18 July this year as part of an eight-series show.<\/p>\n

 Recordings will be aired on MTV base (DStv<\/span> Channel 322), and on terrestrial, DTT<\/span> and CATV<\/span> channels including STV<\/span> (Nigeria), HiTV<\/span> (Nigeria), WBS<\/span> (Uganda), NTV<\/span> (Kenya), Canal2<\/span> (Cameroon), Muvi<\/span> TV (Zambia), Zuku<\/span> (Kenya), ZAP (Angola), Smart TV (Kenya) and Star Times (Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania, and Burundi).<\/p>\n

MTV Base Meets\u2026With MTN<\/span> is a joint initiative between MTV Networks Africa and MTN<\/span> Group. It is designed to inspire African youth by connecting them with some of the world\u2019s most influential personalities.<\/p>\n

It is intended to provide greater understanding between the African youth and the political, business and cultural leaders who shape today\u2019s world.<\/p>\n

Other eminent personalities to feature in the series later include Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf<\/span>, Africa\u2019s first and only elected female head of state and Julius Malema<\/span>, the President of the ANC Youth League.<\/p>\n

The show has also featured other prominent personalities including Nelson Mandela, Tony Blair, Morgan Tsvangirai<\/span> and Wyclef<\/span> Jean.<\/p>\n

African youth are encouraged to nominate shakers and movers in society and submit their proposed questions for the programme<\/span> via a dedicated MTV base Meets\u2026with MTN<\/span> website or via their mobile handset.<\/p>\n
