{Johannesburg – A farmworker was gunned down on the property where he was employed, 20km outside Modimolle in Limpopo on Friday afternoon, police say.}<\/p>\n

The 41-year-old man reportedly told his employer that he was seeing “suspicious-looking” people at one end of the farm. His employer instructed him to investigate, said Colonel Malesela Ledwaba.<\/p>\n

“He went to look, but when he did not come back after some time, the people on the farm started looking for him,” said Ledwaba.<\/p>\n

They found his body in the bushes in the farm yard. He had been shot in the head, behind his ear.<\/p>\n

“It doesn’t look like anything was taken from him,” Ledwaba said. <\/p>\n

Police believed two suspects were behind the killing. They were believed to have fled the scene on foot. <\/p>\n

Investigations were continuing, Ledwaba said.<\/p>\n
