{KAMPALA. Police has dismissed independent presidential candidate Joseph Mabirizi\u2019s campaign team claims of his abduction.}<\/p>\n

Mr Mabirizi\u2019s team claimed he was abducted by unidentified assailants in the wee hours of Wednesday and taken to a house where men armed in army uniform told him to pull out of the race.
\nPolice spokesperson, Mr Fred Enanga, said there are a lot of contradictions surrounding Pastor Mabirizi\u2019s story, but investigations are still ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a lot of suspicion and contradictions in the way events unfolded. Nevertheless, we have opened a case at police and recorded his statement. Investigations have started,\u201d Mr Enanga said.<\/p>\n
