{"id":211,"date":"2011-05-20T09:55:30","date_gmt":"2011-05-20T09:55:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwanda-makes-more-reforms-to-ease-doing-business\/"},"modified":"2011-05-20T10:48:04","modified_gmt":"2011-05-20T10:48:04","slug":"rwanda-makes-more-reforms-to-ease-doing-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwanda-makes-more-reforms-to-ease-doing-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwanda makes more reforms to ease doing business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Rwanda has introduced new business reforms to make company start-ups and cross border trade easier as it strives to be among the world\u2019s top 30 places to do business by 2017, Clare <span data-scaytid=\"1\" data-scayt_word=\"Akamanzi\">Akamanzi<\/span>, chief operating officer of Rwanda\u2019s Development Board announced this week.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-scaytid=\"2\" data-scayt_word=\"Akamanzi\">Akamanzi<\/span> said the new reforms were meant to make it easier for businesses to start, deal with construction permits, register property and trade across borders.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We have introduced free online registration and reduced registration fees from 25,000 to 15,000 francs. We have also eliminated certain requirements like the <span data-scaytid=\"4\" data-scayt_word=\"notarising\">notarising<\/span> of sale agreement,&#8221; <span data-scaytid=\"3\" data-scayt_word=\"Akamanzi\">Akamanzi<\/span> told Reuters.<\/p>\n<p>The World Bank\u2019s 2011 Doing Business report ranked Rwanda the second most pro-business reformer globally, and <span data-scaytid=\"5\" data-scayt_word=\"58th\">58th<\/span> in terms of ease of doing business, up from 70th a year earlier.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Rwanda has introduced new business reforms to make company start-ups and cross border trade easier as it strives to be among the world\u2019s top 30 places to do business by 2017, Clare Akamanzi, chief operating officer of Rwanda\u2019s Development Board announced this week.
