{"id":20874,"date":"2015-10-28T09:29:39","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T09:29:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/ombudsman-says-punishments-await-public-officials\/"},"modified":"2015-10-28T12:04:52","modified_gmt":"2015-10-28T12:04:52","slug":"ombudsman-says-punishments-await-public-officials","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/ombudsman-says-punishments-await-public-officials\/","title":{"rendered":"Ombudsman Says, punishments await public officials with unregistered wealth"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-8788 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/aloysiec_yanzayire.jpg\" alt=\"Aloysie Cyanzayire,Head of  National Office of the Ombudsman \" \/><\/figure>\n<p>{ {{The Office of the Ombudsman revealed that senior public servants who didn\u2019t present their possessions are going to face punishments following the annual procurement report unveiling that only 9537 among 9565 leaders registered their wealth. }}   } <\/p>\n<p>The National Office of the Ombudsman announced that 28 public officials haven\u2019t presented their properties while 9 others didn\u2019t explain the source of their properties. <\/p>\n<p>It was demonstrated during the illumination of the Ombudsman\u2019s Office 2014-2015 report to both chambers of the cabinet. <\/p>\n<p>The report indicates that district accountants have dominated in the absence of registering possessions despite their close involvement in the government\u2019s finance.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the report, the cabinet declared that presenting property act as anti-theft mechanism of public possession.
