The U.S. Central Command said it will back the operation with a large force that includes thousands of U.S. military personnel, more than 100 aircraft, and naval support. This incident highlights the growing maritime security concerns in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial chokepoint through which a large portion of the world\u2019s oil flows.
