Germany, home to roughly 35,000 U.S. troops, has been a central base for operational training and logistical support for U.S. forces in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The planned withdrawal will reduce the American footprint in Germany to levels seen before 2022, prior to an expansion of forces following Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
