Through its exclusive partnership with ZKTeco, a global leader in biometric verification, AI-driven access control, and smart office platforms, the company offers everything from facial recognition and fingerprint devices to smart locks, fire detection systems, and CCTV solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference also highlighted the long-standing partnership between the two companies, with the signing of a new agreement that strengthens Orbit Solutions\u2019 role as ZKTeco\u2019s official distributor in Rwanda. Unlike conventional cameras, these systems can detect fights, unauthorised access, or unusual behaviour in real time and send alerts directly to security control rooms, allowing teams to respond immediately rather than relying on manual monitoring or post-event review.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWith AI, CCTV moves from being a passive observer to an active partner in security,\u201d explained Mostafa Kamel, Managing Director of ZKTeco East Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3000\" height=\"2143\" src=\"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/2I1A9857.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2000106559\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Orbit Solutions MD Jenipher Ingabire highlighted the company\u2019s modern security solutions in Rwanda.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>For Orbit Solutions\u2019 Managing Director, Jenipher Ingabire, the conference was an opportunity to showcase the company\u2019s approach to modern security in Rwanda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAccess automation is no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. From residential developments to commercial facilities and critical infrastructure, the demand for secure, efficient, and intelligent access systems continues to grow,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ingabire highlighted Orbit\u2019s role as a distributor of a wide range of electronic security solutions, including biometric access devices, fire detection and suppression systems, CCTV cameras, metal detectors, and smart locks, all available locally and backed by technical support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are a one-stop shop with everything available in stock. If we don\u2019t have something, we can get it quickly through our strategic partnerships with suppliers. We have credit facilities available, so there is no project we cannot execute at any scale.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Global expertise, local impact<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kamel highlighted how ZKTeco\u2019s technology has been adopted globally, including by governments, multinational corporations, and logistics companies. By combining local expertise with global innovation, we aim to deliver comprehensive security solutions tailored to the region\u2019s needs,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He further emphasised ZKTeco\u2019s commitment to research and development, highlighting cutting-edge technologies such as visible-light 3D facial recognition, palm recognition from up to 30 metres, and AI-powered integration across security systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conversations on the floor<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Panel sessions were lively, with participants exploring practical applications of AI and smart access systems. From corporate offices to public institutions, attendees discussed how technology can reduce reliance on traditional security personnel while increasing overall safety. One example: AI CCTV detecting a fight in real time can alert security, lock or unlock doors as needed, and even integrate with other systems such as fire alarms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"3000\" height=\"1379\" src=\"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/2I1A9845.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2000106560\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Panel sessions were lively, with participants exploring practical applications of AI and smart access systems.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussions also covered challenges, including budget constraints, integration with existing infrastructure, and staff training.
