{"id":19954,"date":"2015-06-29T01:10:22","date_gmt":"2015-06-29T01:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/burundi-parliament-head-leaves-country-denounces\/"},"modified":"2015-06-29T01:09:57","modified_gmt":"2015-06-29T01:09:57","slug":"burundi-parliament-head-leaves-country-denounces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/burundi-parliament-head-leaves-country-denounces\/","title":{"rendered":"Burundi parliament head leaves country, denounces president"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{The head of Burundi&#8217;s parliament on Sunday said he had left the country due to the violence raging there and urged the president not to seek an &#8220;illegal&#8221; third term.}<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;For the moment, I am forced to stay in Brussels&#8230; I stayed here given the difficulties in my country, difficulties which are due to the illegal third mandate of the President of the Republic,&#8221; Mr Pie Ntavyohanyuma told France 24 news channel in an interview from Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On the eve of the election &#8230; I would like to say to him (President Pierre Nkurunziza) that the mandate he wants to have is illegal.
