Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB) would like to inform the public in
\ngeneral, employers and employees in particular, that a new law No
\n05\/2015 governing the organisation of Pension Schemes in Rwanda was
\nenacted on 30th March 2015.<\/p>\n

RSSB hereby informs employers that as per the article 10 of this law “The
\ndeclaration of pension contributions to the mandatory Pension scheme
\nshall be done on a monthly basis”.<\/p>\n

Article 11 of the same law states ‘The employer shall send to the public
\nentity in charge of Pension scheme collected contributions not later than
\nthe 15th day of the month following the month to which such
\ncontributions relate”.<\/p>\n

In light of the above, RSSB is pleased to bring to the attention of all
\nconcerned parties, that the implementation of the above mentioned
\narticles shall take effect with the declaration and remittance of
\ncontributions for the month of July 2015, which means that the
\ndeclaration and payment of contributions for quarter 2 (April, May and
\nJune) shall be done as usual (Not later than 31 July 2015) given that the
\nnew law was officially gazetted already during the 2nd quarter 2015. The
\nremittance and declarations for the month of July 2015 will be done not
\nlater than August 15th, 2015.<\/p>\n
