{Hungary is to send 150 soldiers to Iraq as part of international efforts to “eliminate” ISIL, Hungary’s foreign and trade minister has said.}<\/p>\n
Peter Szijjarto, speaking at a conference in Budapest on Thursday marking the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the UN, said: \u201cISIL is a threat to the whole world.”<\/p>\n
“We can eliminate this threat only by working together and as a result of effective work by the United Nations,” he said.<\/p>\n
He said the world was facing many problems which have to be solved by the organization, and ISIL constituted the most important problem.<\/p>\n
ISIL control large areas of Iraq and Syria.<\/p>\n
The Iraqi central government and Iraqi Kurdish security forces have been fighting ISIL since they took the control of Mosul, Iraq\u2019s second largest city, in mid-June 2014.<\/p>\n
