{ To mark the 21st commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi, the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda in DRC yesterday organised a night vigil and a mass at Sacr\u00e9 Coeur Church in Kinshasa.}<\/p>\n
The night vigil was attended by members of the Rwandan community, friends of Rwanda, Ambassador of Haiti in Africa, 2nd Councilors of the embassies of Kenya, Burundi, and Zimbabwe, Charges d\u2019Affaires of Canada and Belgium, and the Belgian Military attach\u00e9 in DRC.<\/p>\n
As part of the event, two documentary films were shown including \u201cTuez les tous\u201d, and \u201cLes detectives de l\u2019histoire: France coupable?\u201d which trace the history of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi \u2013 from root causes, implementation and consequences. After these two documentaries, there followed a short documentary highlighting the major achievements of Rwanda after the genocide.<\/p>\n
The mass was attended by 50 people, including representatives of different embassies in DRC. Ambassadors who were present include those of Belgium, Burundi, and Cameroon. Also present were representatives of MONUSCO, the AU and the EU.<\/p>\n
After the mass, Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires F\u00e9lix Bagambiki spoke about the importance of commemoration and highlighted some examples of achievements made so far by the Government of Rwanda in terms of the well-being of Rwandans and good governance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
