Speaking at a press conference, President Paul Kagame condemned the killing and said the East African region must step up security efforts.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe idea of the region working together closely to end terror attacks is pertinent to us,\u201d Kagame said. Reports says at least 15 are dead and 65 wounded.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, President Kagame noted that efforts are in place to end terrorism in the region, including the establishment of the East African joint force.<\/p>\n
The force is made of 10 African countries with the mandated to strengthen security and preserve peace throughout the region.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe should consider working together keeping in mind that if it happens in Kenya today, it may happen to any other place tomorrow,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe most important to all of us is to know that the danger is there and to face it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kenya has been facing terror attacks for the last four years, killing over 600 people and wounding hundreds.<\/p>\n
