{"id":19103,"date":"2015-03-31T01:19:09","date_gmt":"2015-03-31T01:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/tanzania-to-host-ea-international-arbitration\/"},"modified":"2015-03-31T01:18:34","modified_gmt":"2015-03-31T01:18:34","slug":"tanzania-to-host-ea-international-arbitration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/tanzania-to-host-ea-international-arbitration\/","title":{"rendered":"Tanzania to host EA International Arbitration Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{Tanzania will next week host this year\u2019s edition of East Africa International Arbitration Conference (EAIAC), according to the Executive Director for Tanzania Private Sector Foundation (TPSF) Godfrey Simbeye.}<\/p>\n<p>The conference which will be held from Thursday to Friday in Dar es Salaam is aimed at improving capacity and highlighting dispute resolution capabilities in the region.<\/p>\n<p>He said Tanzania is increasingly gaining recognition as the leading natural resource player in the Eastern Africa market and the conference will highlight the importance of international arbitration as a tool for promoting foreign investment in the region.    <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow in its 3rd year, the conference is endorsed by the region\u2019s governments and the legal and private sector and aims to promote and support the growth and development of Eastern Africa\u2019s arbitration practice and centres.The conference has tremendous support particularly from Tannganyika Law Society, TPSF and the government,\u201d    he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said this year\u2019s EAIAC conference will focus on the success of the last year\u2019s Nairobi Conference where over 200 delegates from East Africa and beyond, comprising law firms, corporate clients and regional arbitration centres attended.<\/p>\n<p>Simbeye named countries which have confirmed their participation at the conference as Ethiopia, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Mauritius, The United Kingdom (UK), Singapore, France and Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKeynote speakers and panelists are drawn from the government, private sector and legal sector.
