{The United Nation\u2019s report on [Women in ministerial positions->http:\/\/www.ipu.org\/pdf\/publications\/wmnmap15_en.pdf] shows that Rwanda is the third country in Africa with the highest number of women Ministers.}<\/p>\n
The countries were ranked according to the percentage of women in ministerial positions, reflecting appointments up to 1 January 2015.<\/p>\n
Cape Verde ranked first in Africa and 2nd Worldwide with 9 women ministers representing the percentage of 52.9% of its 17 ministers.<\/p>\n
South Africa is the second African country and 11th worldwide with 15 women ministers representing 41.7% of 36 ministers.<\/p>\n
Rwanda which ranked third in Africa and 13th in the world, has 11 women Ministers representing 35.5% of 31 ministers.<\/p>\n
Rwanda comes ahead of Burundi, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau, which all come in among the top 20 positions globally.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Rwanda is the first country in the world to have the highest number of women parliamentarians. <\/p>\n
The percentage of women in Rwanda\u2019s Parliament stands at 63.8%. <\/p>\n
