The agreement that is emerging now between the P5+1 countries – the United States, Russia, China, Great Britain, France and Germany – and Iran is unacceptable to Israel, Netanyahu said.<\/p>\n
It \u201cis dangerous for Israel, the region and the world,\u201d he said as he explained that under its terms Iran would remain a nuclear threshold state.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt leaves Iran with the ability to produce the material needed to produce a nuclear bomb within a few months, and later, it could produce dozens of nuclear bombs,\u201d Netanyahu said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsrael strongly objects to this,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs prime minister I want to be very clear on this point,\u201d Netanyahu said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will do everything to prevent Iran\u2019s arms capacity and its ability to produce nuclear weapons,\u201d Netanyahu said.<\/p>\n
He spoke during a visit with Defense Minister Moshe Ya\u2019alon to the Air Force\u2019s space and rocket division in Yehud.<\/p>\n
Israel, he said, faces many security challenges, of which the greatest threat is Iran.<\/p>\n
Netanyahu made similar statements on Iran on Sunday both at a Likud event and at the weekly cabinet.<\/p>\n
On March 3 he plans to address a joint session of the US Congress to urge American politicians to pass new legislation to increase sanctions against Iran.<\/p>\n
