{{Luanda }} – {The Angolan Head of State, Jos\u00e9 Eduardo dos Santos, arrived this Monday morning in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), for a work visit of some hours, aimed at strengthening the bilateral relations.}<\/p>\n
On his arrival, President Jos\u00e9 Eduardo dos Santos was welcomed by the Congolese Prime Minister, Augustin Matata Ponyo, with whom he had a brief meeting in the protocol hall of the Ndjili International Airport, as well as by the Angolan ambassador to DRC, Emilio Guerra, among other personalities.<\/p>\n
According to a press release from the Angolan Foreign Affairs Ministry, during his stay in the DRC the Angolan President and his host, Joseph Kabila, will review the level of cooperation, taking into account the interests of the two countries, to set up a strategic cooperation to consolidate the existing economic cooperation.<\/p>\n
The two countries are also to sign cooperation accords in the domains of cross-border rail, fluvial and road transports and operation of air services, the press release also states<\/p>\n
Angola and the DRC share a long fluvial and land border and the signing of the deals will reinforce the existing economic relations and trade.<\/p>\n
The Angolan President\u2019s delegation includes the State minister and head of the Civil Office of the Presidency, Eldetrudes Costa, the Foreign Affairs minister, Georges Chikoti, Transport minister, Augusto Tom\u00e1s, and the Trade minister, Rosa Pacavira.<\/p>\n
