{"id":17878,"date":"2014-12-16T22:53:39","date_gmt":"2014-12-16T22:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwandan-loses-genocide-appeal-in-norway\/"},"modified":"2014-12-16T22:51:24","modified_gmt":"2014-12-16T22:51:24","slug":"rwandan-loses-genocide-appeal-in-norway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwandan-loses-genocide-appeal-in-norway\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwandan loses genocide appeal in Norway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{OSLO}}: {An Oslo appeal court on Tuesday upheld the conviction of a Rwandan man sentenced to prison in Norway for his role in the massacre of 2,000 people during the 1994 genocide against Tutsi.<br \/>\n}<\/p>\n<p>Sadi Bugingo, 49, moved to Norway in 2002 and became the first person convicted for the crime of genocide in Norway for his involvement in several massacres in eastern Rwanda. <\/p>\n<p>He is currently serving Norway&#8217;s maximum possible sentence of 21 years.
