It&#8217;s only fair that employees receive their fair share of the profits,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>The gloomy scenarios of a downturn &#8220;are unfounded,&#8221; Wetzel continued, pointing that most experts see the German economy growing by 1.2-1.9 percent next year.<\/p>\n<p>The IG Metall board&#8217;s recommendation will now go to the union&#8217;s different regional branches for formal approval on November 25.<\/p>\n<p>Pay talks for Germany&#8217;s key engineering and metalworking sector are carried out on a regional basis and are scheduled to begin in January after the current agreements expire in December.<\/p>\n<p>IG Metall represents a wide range of sectors, from electronics to the auto industry, household electrical goods and semi-conductors.
