{A Kenyan man has been arrested in the US for making \u201cterrorist threats\u201d.}<\/p>\n

Jacob Mugambi Muriithi, 30, was arrested last Friday for allegedly making threatening statements to a co-worker.<\/p>\n

Mr Muriithi, who was an employee of Bellevue Nursing Home, is said to have threatened the co-worker by saying that he would \u201ccut off her head.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe take these threats very seriously,\u201d Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said.<\/p>\n

Mr Muriithi\u2019s arrest came barely a day after a Muslim convert in Oklahoma identified as Alton Alexander Nolen, beheaded a co-worker after he was fired.<\/p>\n

He is alleged to have threatened the unidentified co-worker on September 19, 2014.<\/p>\n

The co-worker reported that Mr Muriithi made the threats while they were working together at the nursing facility in Northwest Oklahoma City. The woman was not named in the court documents.<\/p>\n

According to court documents seen by the Daily Nation, the woman alleged Mr Muriithi identified himself as a Muslim and said he \u201crepresented ISIS and that ISIS kills Christians.\u201d<\/p>\n

The ISIS (Islamic State) militant group in Syria and Iraq has beheaded at least two journalists from Western countries.<\/p>\n

The court document continues to state that when the woman asked Mr Muriithi why they behead Christians, \u201cThis is just what we do.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim said Jacob asked her what time she got off work and she replied by asking him in a joking manner if he was going to kill her.<\/p>\n

\u201cJacob told the victim, \u2018Yes,\u2019 he was going to cut her head off. The victim asked Jacob what he was going to cut her head off with and he said, \u2018A blade,\u2019 then told her after he did it he was going to post it on Facebook,\u201d the affidavit read.<\/p>\n

The co-worker also stated that Mr Muriithi was serious when speaking and that he never said that he was joking or playing around.<\/p>\n

Mr Muriithi is alleged to have repeated the threat as the co-worker left work where he added in front of another co-worker that that he going to use a blade to carry out his act.<\/p>\n

A source close to Mr Muriithi\u2019s family told the Daily Nation that they are currently working on securing an attorney for him.<\/p>\n

He is being held in the Oklahoma County jail and his bail was set at $1 million (Sh89 million).<\/p>\n
