{The First Lady of Rwanda, Mrs. Jeannette Kagame attended various meetings at the sidelines of the 2014 United Nations General Assembly. The remarks she delivered were mainly focused on the well-being of girls and women.}<\/p>\n

On September 22nd 2014, Mrs Kagame delivered remarks at the \u201cHigh-level dialogue on maternal and newborn health beyond 2014, with a focus on adolescent girls\u201d. On September 23rd, 2014, Mrs Kagame, as Vice President of OAFLA, delivered a communiqu\u00e9 at an event hosted by UNAIDS. On behalf of the African First Ladies, she expressed OAFLAs commitment to continue advocating for health, especially in the areas of Elimination of Mother to child transmission of HIV and adolescent reproductive health. <\/p>\n

First Lady, Mrs Jeannette Kagame participated in other meetings such as: the First Lady\u2019s Initiative Luncheon and conversation on women\u2019s health hosted by the Mrs. Laura Bush; and held an audience with the First Lady of Haiti, Mrs. Sophia Martelly. <\/p>\n
