{On 22\/09\/2014, one innocent person was shot dead and three others injured in Kivumu Cell, Gisenyi Sector, Rubavu District. Rwanda Defence Forces (RDF) deeply regrets and strongly condemns that very sad incident.}<\/p>\n
The preliminary evidence gathered on the ground suggests that the criminal act was committed by Cpl Habiyambere Emmanuel, who has been immediately arrested. <\/p>\n
Very well known for its ethos and high level discipline, RDF does not condone in any way such unforgivable behavior within its ranks.<\/p>\n
It is in this regard that the Military Prosecution has immediately started investigating the case.<\/p>\n
Once investigations are concluded, the suspect will be brought before Military Courts for prosecution and, if found guilty, he will be sentenced to the fullest extent of the law.<\/p>\n
