{The Kenyan ambassador to South Sudan Cleland Leshore was yesterday among African envoys lobbying the Juba government to rescind a decision to ban foreign workers from the country.}<\/p>\n
Leshore on Thursday held a meeting South Sudan Foreign Affairs minister Barnaba Marial on the employment of foreigners.<\/p>\n
It was also resolved that the South Sudan Ministry of Labour, Public Service and Human Resource Development consult with all affected stakeholders, including private companies that have invested in the country.<\/p>\n
Leshore yesterday said he and his African counterparts were engaging South Sudanese government officials and policy makers to rescind the decision to expel foreigners.<\/p>\n
“All African ambassadors in Juba are meeting government officials over the issue and I hope that it will be resolved,” he said.<\/p>\n
