{"id":1609,"date":"2012-01-21T18:30:02","date_gmt":"2012-01-21T18:30:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/returnees-from-congo-confess-their-ordeal\/"},"modified":"2012-01-21T18:26:02","modified_gmt":"2012-01-21T18:26:02","slug":"returnees-from-congo-confess-their-ordeal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/returnees-from-congo-confess-their-ordeal\/","title":{"rendered":"Returnees From Congo Confess Their Ordeal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>{{Two days ago, over 15 Rwandan returnees who returned from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), have disclosed  they never enjoyed refugee rights rather faced suffering and isolation.}}<\/p>\n<p>Isidore Nkurunziza hopes things will change, now that he\u2019s back in his mother country. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI started planning my travel back to Rwanda in October last year from Kinshasa where I resided with my family, to be honest we were suffering especially because we didn\u2019t have DRC\u2019s legal documents, meaning we were not given priority in government initiatives for instance,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Another returnee, Felicien Nsanzineza explained he and his friends never enjoyed the rights of a refugee since they were not living in a camp.
