{"id":15144,"date":"2014-06-28T05:20:20","date_gmt":"2014-06-28T05:20:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/rwandan-man-brings-in-new-environment-saving\/"},"modified":"2014-06-28T05:20:00","modified_gmt":"2014-06-28T05:20:00","slug":"rwandan-man-brings-in-new-environment-saving","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/rwandan-man-brings-in-new-environment-saving\/","title":{"rendered":"Rwandan Man brings in new Environment Saving Cookstoves"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-6234 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/nicolas-2-6b0f0.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>{It is one month after Nkurunziza Nicolas brought in modern Cook stoves that he said are different from the cookstoves made in Rwanda.}<\/p>\n<p>New Cookstoves were made in United States of America by the company called \u201cEnvirofit\u201d and they were imported in three categories.<\/p>\n<p>IGIHE learnt that the imported stoves include those that utilize charcoal, woods and cookstoves meant for big institutions including hotels, schools, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to this site, Nkurunziza confirmed that these cookstoves are environmental friendly adding that they are also energy saving stoves.<\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cThese stoves use small amount of energy compare to the existing ones that most of Rwandans use.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nkurunziza added that these stoves are internationally recognized noting that many people from different countries use them.<\/p>\n<p>He further explained that he imported these stoves after finding that they can contribute to environment protection.<\/p>\n<p>He said \u201cWhile the Government of Rwanda puts more effort in protecting environment, I found that it is everyone\u2019s concern to play a role in Environment conservation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nkurunziza launched Energy Saving Stoves Ltd which partners with a US based Envirofit to provide those stoves.<\/p>\n<p>He narrated his family experience where they used to utilize four sacks of cooking charcoal in one month; however after new stoves they use only two sacks.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-6236 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/arton52946-7c505.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAt home we used to consume four sacks of charcoal in a one month costing us between 28,000 Rwf and 32,000 Rwf.
