{{The ministry of Local Administration (MINALOC) has declared that special measures will be used for people to contribute towards good governance.}}<\/p>\n
James Musoni, the minister of local administration said, \u201cit is true, some decisions are taken without people\u2019s participation, but there will not be sustainable good governance without the voice of the population.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that people must be aware of their rights. The ministry is doing all the best to give power to the population\u2019s contribution in decisions making.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere are decisions which would be taken without people\u2019s contribution. You cannot negotiate with a parent for a child to attend school or prevent a child from being affected by diseases; that is a must\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The president addressed this problem in the 2010 national dialogue talking about leaders who used to destruct people\u2019s houses without negotiations or even showing them other shelters in Bye Bye -Nyakatsi program .<\/p>\n
Jackyline Uwimana, of Gatsibo district, said “Its possible for people who despise government’s programs however, authorities involved in this should change because it deteriorates the country\u2019s development and projecting a negative image of the country.”<\/p>\n
The ministry calls upon journalists, civil societies to help people know their role in good governance. <\/p>\n
All the problems will be exposed on the 30th January 2012 at the end of good governance month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
