The soldiers were transporting food from Hindi, near Lamu, to Ras Kamboni military camp.<\/p>\n
Lamu East OCPD Samuel Obara confirmed that the two officers were killed by a group of about 10 militants who ambushed them.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir vehicle got stuck at Milimani between Mangai and Basuba, about 21 kilometres from Hindi, where an exchange of fire ensued,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
