The case involves a Rwandan man resident in Kansas, Wichita in the United States&nbsp;accused of inciting atrocities and then lying about his role to <span data-scaytid=\"1\" data-scayt_word=\"U.S\">U.S<\/span>. immigration authorities.<br \/><\/strong><br \/><span data-scaytid=\"4\" data-scayt_word=\"Lazare\">Lazare<\/span> <span data-scaytid=\"5\" data-scayt_word=\"Kobagaya\">Kobagaya<\/span> was indicted two years ago on charges of unlawfully obtaining <span data-scaytid=\"2\" data-scayt_word=\"U.S\">U.S<\/span>. citizenship in 2006 with fraud and misuse of an alien registration card. Prosecutors have said it is the first case in the United States requiring proof of genocide.<\/p>\n<p>The 84-year-old Topeka man says he is innocent.<\/p>\n<p>Prosecutors say they expect to wrap up their case either this coming week or early the following one.<\/p>\n<p>Several genocide witnesses and <span data-scaytid=\"3\" data-scayt_word=\"U.S\">U.S<\/span>. immigration officials are still left to testify for the government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The horrors of the 1994 Rwandan genocide are being replayed in a federal courtroom in Wichita as the second week of testimony begins Monday.
