{"id":1424,"date":"2011-12-25T08:11:25","date_gmt":"2011-12-25T08:11:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/youths-at-iwawa-center-graduate\/"},"modified":"2011-12-25T08:14:11","modified_gmt":"2011-12-25T08:14:11","slug":"youths-at-iwawa-center-graduate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.igihe.com\/english\/youths-at-iwawa-center-graduate\/","title":{"rendered":"Youths at Iwawa Center Graduate"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1089 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/prot.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>{{752 youths at Iwawa rehabilitation centre have been presented with certificates after successful completition of training in vocational skills.}}<\/p>\n<p>The director of Iwawa Nicolas Niyongabo during the Award ceremony announced a profit of Frw75 million accumulated from products made by the youths at the center.<\/p>\n<p>Niyongabo highlighted that some of the courses include farming, construction, carpentry and bee keeping.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the center faces challenges of infrastructure, \u201cwe don\u2019t have enough electricity and water.We use charcoal for cooking and our health facilities are substandard.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>In his remarks the minister of youth Protais Mitali urged the graduates to fully utilise skills acquired to improved their welfare and promote the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n<p>They were urged to avoid indulgence in drug abuse and immoral activities.<\/p>\n<p>Charles Kabanda a parent whose son graduated, commended the center\u2019s performance but added that more improvement is needed especially in improving the curriculum, more workers  and better classrooms and toilets. <\/p>\n<p>Saidi Zirarushya one of the graduates noted that for the past two years he has studied at the center and is able to read and write. \u201ci used to be a drug addict from Rubavu district but now I\u2019m reformed.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"spip-document spip-document-1090 aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en-images.igihe.com\/jpg\/iwawa.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>{{752 youths at Iwawa rehabilitation centre have been presented with certificates after successful completition of training in vocational skills.}} The director of Iwawa Nicolas Niyongabo during the Award ceremony announced a profit of Frw75 million accumulated from products made by the youths at the center.
