{{About 134 Rwandans of 36 families who were expelled from Tanzania mostly women and children have temporarily been given shelter at Rwimbogo Sector, Gatsibo District as the local authorities prepare to construct houses for them.}}<\/p>\n

The two days\u2019 act from March 31, was presided by the sector Executive Secretary, Mr. John Mushumba on behalf of the local authorities and Mr. Joseph Rukebesha on behalf of the Ministry of Disaster Management and Refugee Affairs.<\/p>\n

Rwimbogo\u2019s sector Executive Secretary said they rented several rooms in Rwikiniro and Munini Cells to accommodate them. \u201cResidents in the area have also provided them with items including; clothes, mats and food\u201d.<\/p>\n

A volunteer Joy Mirembe says, \u201cIt is unfortunate that people are expelled but it\u2019s good to have them sheltered among us. We contributed whatever we can and will continue where authorities see the need to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Florence Murekatete 27 a mother of three recounted to IGIHE that while in Tanzania, she was arrested and detained but later released under instructions to directly head to Rwanda without reaching her home at Musenyi, Biharamuro. <\/p>\n

\u201cI was pregnant when I was arrested on November 5, 2013. I gave birth to this baby on February 14, 2014 in Rwanda. <\/p>\n
