{{Nedbank Capital has announed that it is keen on exploring gold and mining opportunities in African countries.}}<\/p>\n
South African financial institution is reportedly investing in virgin ground exploration for gold in Tanzania, Ghana and Burkina Faso and also considering exploring Mozambique\u2019s emerging coal industry.<\/p>\n
The company has earlier financed mining projects in Namibia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Kenya. Recently, Nedbank Capital had entered a joint venture with Standard Bank to refinance uranium mines in northern Malawi and Namibia.<\/p>\n
The investment firm said that it now wants to finance greenfield projects outside Africa. Canada and Australia top the company\u2019s agenda.<\/p>\n
Paul Miller, mining and resources investment banker of Nedbank Capital, said, \u201cWe consider any investment outside Africa as part of a strategy for greater, long-term investment in the continent.
