{{Central African Republic (CAR) President Catherine Samba-Panza arrived in Luanda Tuesday for a two-day visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between both countries.}}<\/p>\n
In 2010, the two nations signed general cooperation accord plus political and diplomatic consultation protocol.<\/p>\n
President Samba-Panza who did not speak to journalists upon arrival will meet her Angolan counterpart on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Angolan Foreign Affairs Minister Gorges Chikoti said Luanda would grant a credit line to CAR to help solve humanitarian crisis and improve the security situation in the country.<\/p>\n
Angola will also train CAR police officers.<\/p>\n
\u201cBoth leaders will discuss ways to increase cooperation between the two countries and how to improve the regional situation,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are working to grant a concession credit with low and simple interests. It has to do with a long term help aimed to strengthen police army institutions.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last month, Angolan President Jos\u00e9 Eduardo dos Santos took over the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) presidency.<\/p>\n
The ICGLR includes twelve states: Angola, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo-Brazzaville, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Sudan, South Sudan, Tanzania and Zambia.<\/p>\n
Ms Samba-Panza, former mayor of Bangui, was on January elected interim president of the Central African Republic tasked with restoring peace to the country torn by sectarian bloodshed.<\/p>\n
According to the last report presented by the UN general secretary Ban Ki-moon to the Security Council, the situation in CAR remains fragile.<\/p>\n
The former French colony was thrown into chaos after rebels from the mainly Muslim Seleka group seized power in a March 2013 coup.<\/p>\n
