The ministry of natural resources (MINIRENA) has announced the plan to increase forest dominated landscape from current figure which stands at 28.3% to 30% in the year 2017.<\/p>\n
Currently, over 32 million trees are being planted all over the country.<\/p>\n
In a press conference with the Minister of Natural resources, Stanislas Kamanzi \u201cwork on extending the landscape where the trees are being planted on a large scale has already resumed.<\/p>\n
Bamboo trees are being planted around swampy areas in order to reduce soil erosion as the program goes on.<\/p>\n
