The 100m, 200m and 4x100m Olympic champion says he has informed his coach that he wants to run at the Commonwealth Games, which are taking place in Glasgow next year.<\/p>\n
Speaking at a book signing of his new autobiography \u2018Faster than Lightning\u2019, the Jamaican said: \u201cI am definitely reconsidering (retiring after 2016).<\/p>\n
\u201cI think my fans especially have really voiced their concern about me retiring.
\n\u201cThey think I should carry on and so do my sponsors. I have discussed it with my coach and he says it is possible. We will see what happens but it\u2019s on the cards that I will extend it by one more year.\u201d<\/p>\n
One of the few medals Bolt is yet to add to his collection is Commonwealth gold.<\/p>\n
The 27 year-old has not competed at the event. In 2006 he was due to go to Melbourne, but he pulled out because of a hamstring injury.<\/p>\n
Bolt has never fully committed himself to Glasgow 2014 in the past, but it appears that he is now keen to add to his medal tally and compete in front of his adoring fans in Britain again.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have said to my coach that I would love to go to the Commonwealths,\u201d Bolt added.
\n\u201cIt\u2019s something that I haven\u2019t done before. It\u2019s up to him, but I have said to him that I want to be a part of it. My coach will think about it and we will see what he says. I am not 100 per cent sure. We will discuss and see what he says.\u201d <\/p>\n
